Book Review: Fablehaven by Brandon Mull

Fablehaven is a book given to me by a coworkers daughter after she learned I liked to read.

Amazon describes it as "Kendra and her brother, Seth, have no idea that their grandfather is the current caretaker of Fablehaven. Inside the gated woods, ancient laws keep relative order among the greedy trolls, mischievous satyrs, plotting witches, spiteful imps, and jealous fairies. But when the rules get broken, powerful forces are unleashed, and Kendra and her brother face the greatest challenge of their lives. To save their family, Fablehaven, and maybe even the world, Kendra and Seth must find the courage to do what they fear most..."

Its a teen fantasy Harry Potter make believe like story and its very relate-able and a quick read.  I'm not quite sure how they have stretched it out to 4+ books but as long as the humans are alive I suppose new fantasy characters can come out of the woodwork.  If your teen or preteen enjoys the fantasy books this would be a great series to get them started on!
