They are silky smooth nylon like but some cotton in there to absorb that spin class butt sweat that I know a little too well. They are capris which I love and black which is alway slimming. The booty does have kind of a strange design but it's one that makes my butt look smaller so what the hey! Overall these are great workout pants and I'll be hunting down some more for sure.
