This book is the true story of a poor black woman with cervical cancer whose cells were experimented on and became the forefront of most medical advances since the 1950's.
The story, although true, is written like a fictional story making it interesting and educational at the same time. You hear the story from the viewpoint of Henrietta's daughter and the struggles the family has had to endure given her mother's donation to science (albeit involuntary). Even to a non-science nerd this book was a good read.
This blog features a family of four mostly normal people doing very boring everyday things. I love to get good deals & coupon finds & will be sharing them with you as I find. I love to read & will also share some good finds & not so good finds, including FREE books once in awhile. We love to eat & do it with gusto so will let you know of any good or terrible places we find around the country too.
