My husband surprised me with this for my birthday! Woot woot! Now I need your helpful hints, advice, apps to get or not to get, gripes, loves. Please tell all while I'm learning to use this thing. Do I really need to pay for WiFi service or can I get my downloads via the desktop and just use it remotely? The husband heard the term Fire Cracking or something....anyone know what this is? HELP!

Yay! We got an iPad for Christmas and LOVE it! You may find you want to WiFi for the portability. It is much quicker to use google or search sites on the internet. There are so many apps that I LOVE! Of course our whole family is addicted to Angry Birds. If you like word games, Scrabble, Jumbline, and Chicktionary are fun. If you're a Grey's Anatomy fan, there is a great app for that. The Amazon app is great if you like to order something quick or check out their daily deals. For cooking, there is Big Fork Little Fork, Betty Crocker, and Epicurious. For informational I like WebMD, This Day in History, and The Weather Channel. How's that for a start? Enjoy it!
Oh yeah, you can download the Kindle app and you can use your ipad like a Kindle! Woot! Woot!
