Frugal Tuesday Tip: Free BOOKS!

I'm a book lover as you can tell from my book reviews so today I've decided to let you all in on a little tip to get FREE BOOKS!  Other than your obvious choice of your local library or swapping with friends/family here are some of my hints at getting free or discounted books:

#1 - If you are a blogger you can join Book Sneeze or any of multiple publishing companies.  You agree to read their book (sometimes within a certain time period) and in exchange for a copy of the book (some sites are now doing E-Books) then you must submit a review of it (sometimes on up to three sites but what's a little copying and pasting?!).

#2 - Join PaperBack Swap website as a member.  This is a site where you get credit for listing books you have to give away and with those credits you may then obtain books from other members.  You pay to ship the books you have listed on your "bookshelf" to the requester, however you get that back when you request a book from someone else because it doesn't cost you a thing.  Of course the site also has purchasing options but I love it since it can be a great/cheap way to find those hard to get or expensive books.  Its also a great way to find a new author to try out without spending too much money.

#3 - Freecycle.  You won't believe how many people just give away entire boxes of books.  Its a hodgepodge of textbooks, Harlequins, to do's, etc. but isn't it fun just getting new books sometimes?
