We started off with very good homemade strawberry smoothies, shopped for three hours while the kids bonded with the grandparents, then headed to Abuelos at a friend's recommendation for lunch. My carnitas tacos were wonderful and the papas(spicy mashed potatoes) were awesome!
Next we came home and did more set up, swam a bit (I mean it was 115 today so we needed to cool off) then met an old Iowa friend for dinner. I had awesome lettuce wraps and we ordered the martini glass of cotton candy for dessert. It was a good, productive day!
