I just had this enlightening conversation at work:

Me:  I need your health insurance id number so I can talk to them to get a number for the amount of medical bills they have paid out related to your accident.

Client:  Well I don't know what ID number you are talking about but I can give you the ID number on my medical insurance card.

Me: That's exactly what I'm referring to.  (In my head: you IMBECILE!!!  God help us you have reproduced!)
